About Our Teak Garden Furniture
Our teak furniture is handcrafted in Indonesia in the time-honored tradition. The grade A wood used
in our furniture is kiln dried to reduce moisture content, thus reducing warping and stabilizing the
wood. All the furniture joints are made with interlocking mortis and tenon, bow tie, and dovetail joinery
where applicable. After construction, our furniture is hand sanded for a beautiful finish.
We do not skimp on material used. Every piece of furniture has classic proportions and is very substantial.
These classic styles are tried and true, and the durability and strength of our furniture will stand
the test of time.

Our teak comes from plantation grown trees which thrive in Indonesia’s
monsoon climate. Teak (Tectona Grandis) has exceptionally high oil content
in its wood. This natural oil gives teak wood the quality of being extremely
rot and insect resistant. Being a hardwood, teak is also very strong
and durable. For centuries teak has been commonly used in building boats,
bridges and furniture, and is considered to be the best wood for outdoor
use.
